BIOGRAPHY                                          CON DIOS, TODO ES POSIBLE

Beautiful, elegant, intelligent and anointed are a few adjectives used to describe Gale LeVon.  She is a southern      girl who has fascinated audiences around the world, yet enjoys the simple things in life. Gale is a singer,      songwriter, musician, actress and motivational speaker who enjoys utilizing every gift that God has given.      According to one observer, her voice will always be remembered during the 2002 televised opening ceremonies     of the GEORGIA GAMES. Her rendition of the National Anthem created tears, hope, American pride and an unforgettable evening.

Gale earned a Bachelor of Arts’ degree from Paine College where she reigned as “Miss Homecoming” and a Master        of Social Work degree in Administration from the University of South Carolina in Columbia.  Currently, she is        writing her dissertation and will be honored as a Magna Cum Laude graduate.  Employed currently as a school social worker, she serves as an advocate and mentor to many students.

As a twenty year old, LeVon was the opening act for the late Jazz diva Sarah Vaughn.  After Gale’s rendition of “Good Morning Heartache,” the late Vaughn informed the crowd, “Now that’s a tough act to follow.” Soon other             national opportunities followed for the Augusta native. Gale has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Canada and the Caribbean ministering to diverse audiences.

LeVon was the first African-American to win the Augusta Exchange Club Fair’s Senior Talent Competition and          the first Georgian to represent the state as a semi-finalist in the SAVANNAH ON STAGE international singing     competition.  Recognized for her songwriting abilities, Gale was a finalist in the International John Lennon     Songwriter’s competition. The native Augustan is a guest vocalist with the Augusta State Jazz Conservatory Program.
